THE SKATEBOARD

Deck:

 A deck is the wooden board you use to ride, to do tricks and stand on. It is made up of a few thin layers of wood compressed and glued to make it resistant when slaming on it when land.

 

Wheels: the wheels are what make the board go.

Bearings: are the rings inside the wheels that go through the trucks and screwed tight.


Axle: the axle gives the truck the ability to move and let you turn slightly.

Trucks: the trucks are for screwing on the wheels and axle, they are for holding, turning and grinding truck together.

 Grip tape: it is a special type of sand paper that goes on the standing part if the board to give you grip when riding.
